Robert M. Donovan, CPA

Bob Donovan is the founder of the Certified Public Accounting firm Donovan. Since 1972 Bob, his wife Beverly, and their three children have enjoyed a lasting relationship with the people and friends of Hendricks County.

Bob graduated with an Associate of Science degree from Vincennes University in 1964 before earning his degree in business and accounting from the Indiana University School of Business in 1967. After graduation, Bob was employed in Indianapolis by one of the largest accounting firms in the world, Ernst & Ernst (now known as Ernst & Young). After four years with the large firm, he took a position with Norbert F. Keller & Co., a local accounting firm in Speedway, Indiana. In September of 1972 Bob purchased a small tax practice in Danville formerly known as Jim B. Davis, P.A.
Since 1972 the once small tax practice has developed into a Central Indiana premier full service accounting firm with eight CPAs and a total staff of 23.

During his years of experience, Bob has developed the reputation of an expert in personal and business planning. He spends most of his "non-tax-season" time in the areas of retirement planning, business succession planning, estate, gift and financial planning. Bob has been working with clients and their attorneys putting together the best possible plans for their futures for nearly three decades.

Bob holds licenses and certificates as a Certified Public Accountant. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Indiana CPA Society.

Bob has always been very active in his church and in many businesses, civic and professional organizations. He formerly served on the Board of Directors of the First National Bank of Danville and on the Board of Directors of the Huntington National Bank of Indiana. Besides other organizations, he presently is a board member and the treasurer of the Vincennes University Alumni Association and a board member of the Vincennes University Foundation.
